Today FAIR will organize a workshop on Sustainable Business/CSR to introduce the concepts and methods of sustainability to CNA Florence firms and entrepreneurs , a business association of craft companies and SMEs. The speakers are members of FAIR and will discuss sustainability and CSR from the following points of view: Strategy and Models, CSR, Quality, Certification and Standards, Green Economy, Energy efficiency, Communication and Storytelling, Social Media.

With more than 11,000 firms,CNA Florence is one of the biggest association in the Province of Florence. Established in July 1945, today CNA Florence is a system with 19 offices and more than 300 employees.

CNA, established in 1946, the National Confederation of the Craft Sector and SMEs, has been representing and protecting the interests of craft companies, SMEs, and all forms of self-employed workers for over sixty years. The mission of the CNA is to enhance crafts and small and medium enterprises, acting as their partner for development and promoting economic and social development.
The extensive spreading of crafts, both in large cities and in small municipalities, corresponds to a widespread presence of the CNA: 19 Regional and 108 Provincial departments, more than 9,000 collaborators operate in 1250 offices all over Italy.
The Value of CNA: nearly 670,000 members, 370,000 of which are crafts entrepreneurs, 20,000 industries, 30,000 microenterprises, 20,000 self-employed business (CNA InProprio) and 230,000 former entrepreneurs not working any-longer. CNA, with 240 representatives, is the trading association more extensively present among the top representatives of the 105 Italian Chambers of Commerce.
CNA in Europe and worldwide. As from 1984 the CNA Office in Brussels performs an important task of political representation of the interests of SMEs vis-à-vis the main EU institutions. In 2010, a joint CNA office was set-up - Confartigianato, "Italian Small Business in Europe" (ISB).
CNA is represented within UEAPME (the European Association of Craft and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, recognised as a European social partner) in which the CNA holds the Vice-presidency also in charge of sector policies and technical normalisation (NORMAPME), also participating in the activities of several European sector-related associations.
Furthermore, CNA is also partner of the main institutions dealing with internationalisation activities. In this framework, it is a founding partner of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Niece, of which it owns the Presidency. In 1998 it opened an office at Cairo within the Union of Egyptian Cooperatives (which subsequently became a desk at the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Cairo), and has also been the protagonist of the Italian Chamber of Commerce at the United Arab Emirates. It is present in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, USA, Australia and Canada, within the offices of Epasa.
