Congratulations to Dr Jane Fortune, AWA Found, for her prestigious award!

We would like to congratulate to Dr Jane Fortune Founder and Chairman of the AWA Foundation for her prestigious award!

It was a pleasure to participate to the event where the 'Fiorino d'Oro', Florence's Highest Honor, went to Jane Fortune, the founder and chairman of the Advancing Women Artists Foundation - AWA Foundation.
A beautiful evening held at Palazzo Vecchio Salone dei 500 where the Awards Ceremony was part of the opening event of the Global Mayor's Conference 'Unity in Diversity'.
Ms Fortune received her award form the hands of Mayor Nardella after an introduction of the Mayor himself and Ms Mantovani the international affairs officer for the city of Florence.
Dr. Fortune received the Fiorino d'Oro for her contributions to Florentine's arts and culture nurtured by her passion and long work to research, restore and exhibit art by women in Florence's museums, churches and storehouses.
At the end of Dr Fortune' speech, a special screening of AWA's documentary 'When the World Answered. Florence, Women Artists and the 1966 Flood' was presented.
Then, all the guests went to Michelozzo's courtyard for a great party.
Thanks to a great staff for a great evening!
